Just wanted you to know that Brandywine High School on Foulk road is presenting Cheaper by the Dozen on November 1-3. They usually put on a pretty good production for a decent price. I will definitely be attending one performance. I know they will not have read the book yet because it is the last one....but in this instance it is ok if they know the story line before they read it.

Next Tuesday night is parent/teacher night as you know. Could you please come with your preferred date for the movie night for The Yearling? I believe the dates were November 30th or December 1st. Majority will rule as usual so get your preference in!

Just a heads up that there is an FAQ sheet in your child's folder pertaining to English. I would appreciate you reading it and signing the second page. If you have any questions we meet the night of Sept 11. Please note that all writing assignments MUST be double spaced(I received several summer sheets in single space!)

Also, I passed out the vocabulary books so if you could bring a check made out to CGA for 12.21 either Friday or Tuesday that would be great (breakdown is 7.35 for book, 4.20 for tests/quests, and .66 for s and h. You may give the check to me or Marjorie Fersch.

Hello everyone, parents and students of English 7/8,

Hope your summer is going well. The first book we will read is "The Yearling." Everyone needs to have, at the least, the correct copy of that book and the grammar book on the first day of class. I will bring the vocabulary books. Another email will come along explaining classroom supplies needed.

first of all, as mentioned in class on Tuesday, this is the new checklist for for the narration which is due Friday. If you wish to turn it in on the 2nd of  February instead(the following Friday) then please put a note into your folder to that effect.

Please be aware that there will be another writing assignment on White Fang  due on Feb 2nd, and it will be a equivalent to a test grade. In other words, if you choose to turn the narration in later that is fine, but don't leave it to the last minute.
