How student can login for the first time

There still seems to be much confusion among students and their parents about how to get on for the first time. I am sorry for being unclear. Let me try again and make it very simple.

First, all parents were sent emails on Friday or Saturday titled "student info". It contains the information the srudent will need as explained here:

Next, the student should request a password reset link as explained here:

NOW HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART!!!!

The reset link will be sent to the email address used when the student account was set up. For most students it is a cgade.org account. The email address and the email password were included in the student info I sent to all parents.

To retreice the password reset link the student may login to their cgade.org account using the full email address and the password which was provided in the student info message. They must use one of the links which appears on the right column of the site when no one is logged in.

Once they login to the webmail account they should click on the replacement password message and the link which come with this. At this pint, they will be logged into the site and can enter anything thsy wnat for thr site password.

Please note:

1. Student website user names all end in -S (it means special) For example the user whose name in Test Student has the username T.Student-S
2. The student email addresses at cgade.org do not have the -S (eg. T.Student@cgade.org)
3. Enter the full email address with the domain name to login to webmail. Email address is not case sensitive bu the password is case sensitive. The website username is NOT case sensitive but the password is.
4. When you are finished on the website, please logout. K
