Acceptance Information

All new parents will be called to schedule an interview after we receive applications. Upon acceptance, a handbook of school rules and policies will be sent along with a parent/student contract. Students and parents are required to read the handbook and sign the contract agreeing to abide by City Gates rules and policies. This contract will be a pledge on the student's part to respect instructors and fellow students, to complete assignments on time and to take responsibility for their studies; and on the parent's part to oversee their student's homework.

When a class is filled, a waiting list will be kept. Late registrants will be added if a class has openings. City Gates Academy reserves the right to cancel, combine, or change classes if necessary.

We reserve the right to terminate a student's acceptance at any time due to behavior or if we feel that the student is not completing work on time and not getting the parental help needed to do so.

Full payment will be required for the class.

Volunteer Requirements

In order to keep the tuition as low as possible we require all families to volunteer their services throughout the schoolyear. This service will include custodial services, study hall, and lunch supervision, running the snack fundraiser and other jobs that may come up. In addition, on a rotating schedule, each family is required to clean the facility upon the completion of weekly classes.

Books

Families will receive a list of required books in a timely manner. Ordering information as well as the books required for each course will be sent with the acceptance packet. The student must have required books for the first day of class.
